Sunday Family Fun!

We finally got ourselves out the door early today for mass, which meant we had nothing scheduled the rest of the day!  So, we stopped home after mass, made some ham and cheese sandwiches and a huge baggie of Goldfish (B's obsessed), and headed out to one of the good family hiking trails we've heard about.  It was a hike down near Provo, Utah and the reward at the end of the hike was a beautiful waterfall called Stewart Falls.  Here's some pictures from the hike:

Andrew was really excited to hike on his own and not be in the pack today!  He made it about 1.9 miles, which was mostly uphill!  We were pretty impressed!

Father and Son--Bob had an empty kid carrier most of the way!

The view:

Andrew's really into lifting rocks and checking out the bugs underneath:

Made it to the falls!

Lunch in front of the falls!

Attempt at a family photo in front of the falls.  Looks like Andrew snarled when we told him to look at the camera:

Both boys took their naps on the hike back to the car, but Andrew was totally zonked out!

New Bike and Warm Weather Fun!

Well, I don't have any pictures of this yet, but I got a road bike!  B and I went for our first ride together today.  What a great way to take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.  And, there's a certain little person in our house who is all of a sudden kinda interested in his bike!  Yes!!

Here's a picture I took last week and had to share.  As usual, it doesn't come close to how amazing this looked live:

In other news, it's been hot and beautiful all week!  So, we set up a sprinkler, had a cookout with the neighbors, and got the pool set up!  We are really looking forward to a nice long summer!

Beautiful blue skies!  We expect to see these nearly every day from now until October!

Hose!  Pool!  Buckets!  YAY!!

Sprinkler!!

Happy Friday!

Best Playground Ever!

When I first started this blog, I mentioned our favorite playground, but didn't get any pictures of it.  This playground is in a gorgeous old neighborhood with streets lined with huge and gorgeous trees.  But, the kids don't care about that part of it at all.  They LOVE that it's basically a giant sandbox and that tons of previous kids have left their big trucks there for everyone at the park to use.  Seriously, Andrew the Builder and Matthew, his assistant, are in heaven at this place.  Andrew had a sand making machine running while he worked on building a road and making buildings.  So fun!
